Sick to death of telemarketers calling you at home? Especially those pre-recorded voice messages, or calls with no Caller ID for you to identify who called?
There are solutions. The federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act, 47 U.S.C. 227, provides for $500 or more for certain violations. Willful or knowing violations are subject to up to triple damages, or $1500 per violation. Michael Worsham is experienced in Telephone Consumer Protection Act litigation, and can help you regain control over your phone and help regain privacy in your home. You may get some money damages as well.
Class action lawsuits have been filed against telemarketers and junk faxers. If you feel a telemarketer or junk faxer has violated the law, and are interested in being a class representative in suit, please contact Michael Worsham to have the class action process explained.
TWO SIMPLE TIPS TO HELP STOP TELEMARKETING CALLS:
(1)
Include a do-not-call request in your answering machine message.
Do this regularly, and over time, you should see the number of telemarketing calls decrease. Telemarketers are required by FCC regulations (47 CFR 64.1200) to honor your do-not-call request.
